There are times when we feel justice is best served when we get our way. That unless the vengeance happens like we think it should, it's not justice.
The greatest justice that can happen was shown by the most Just human.
Forgiveness.
We can't just sit back and drink the proverbial "poison", and expect the other person to die.
Unforgiveness, can't exist in our hearts and lives without leaving scars. Unforgiveness leads to emotional and mental problems and can also affect our health.
The most Just human, died on a cross for something He didn't even do. Before He died, He forgave. Plain and simple. He looked down and said, "Father, forgive them. For they know not what they do."
How can we as imperfect humans, sit and mull of the hurts that other imperfect humans have dealt us and not forgive them. They hurt us, just as we have hurt others.
In the "Lord's Prayer", Jesus said "forgive our trespass and we forgive those who have trespassed against us."
We are all human and have all made mistakes. We want to be forgiven, so we must forgive.
